EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
KDJS K95.3 FM, Kandi Broadcasting, Inc., Willmar, MN. Was assigned to handle Westwood One Spots and schedules.
Overnight personality. Monday through Friday 12 midnight to 5 AM. Every other weekend 2 to 10 PM, plus remotes. I have interviewed several people on my show including Diana Ross and Todd Krim, founder of finalthoughts.com, as well as many local business owners. I prep about a week in advance and subscribe to some prep services. I also read the daily newspaper and magazines on whatever format a station has. I also check CountryCool.com and country.com for current information on country artists, since that is my current format. Expect me to do the same for any format.
For a short time I did news bits and traffic reports for a Major Solid Gold Soul station in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, through Shadow Broadcasting. I trained in part-time traffic announcing on WCCO, the biggest station in St. Paul/Minneapolis, from 6 to 9 AM, while looking for a full-time gig - and that was straight out of college. While attending school, I worked at Sportsman's Guide South St. Paul, MN, taking telephone credit card orders and a small amount of customer service. Had an award winning suggestion. Very good bonuses, plus I had GREAT sale conversion percentages. Contact person: Cami Long or Al Fettig.
EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
Brown-Institute,
Certificate. Courses included radio studio, Scott Studio System, television broadcasting with an emphasis on news, broadcast technology, production studio, news room, speech writing classes, and the digital editing computer. Academic Excellence Certificate summer quarter 1997, 4.0 GPA. Academic Excellence Certificate fall quarter 1997, 3.76 GPA.
Simley Senior High School. Early graduate.
Last trimester of senior year took two English classes and three social classes that included Psychology and Sociology. Also took general study and advanced classes throughout high school, including band, speech, and several writing classes.

RELATED EXPERIENCE
I have been competing in pageants for several years which enabled me to win numerous speech awards. I performed at community events, 10 years of dance recitals, was a Guest Entertainer and Awards Presenter at USWF for three years, and many talent competitions where I sang, danced, or played my flute. As you can see, I am very community oriented. I have also logged over 2,600 hours of volunteer service. I have done remotes and driven in parades with the station van. I am great at thinking on my feet and an extremely fast learner. I am efficient, hard working, and ready to move up. I have experience with digital editing and hard drive editing (DAT and AKAI), as well as Smart Systems, Scott Studio, Dennon, and DGS. I like production work. I also have a certificate in radio broadcasting. In my free time I like to play softball, bowl, and surf the net to make sure I am up on every current event.
